The inception of Smart Studio arose from the chaos and challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic in the fitness world. When fitness studios were forced to close their doors in 2020 and 2021, resourceful fitness professionals adapted by transitioning into personal fitness training to sustain their livelihoods. However, they lacked a single comprehensive tool to efficiently manage their business and clients. Recognizing this gap in the market, two enterprising entrepreneurs, Aditya Rao and Brince Neidlinger, harnessed their diverse skill sets to support personal fitness professionals. After numerous brainstorming sessions and sleepless nights, Smart Studio emerged as a disruptive solution catering to both the business and client aspects of personal fitness training.
Aditya eloquently captures the core philosophy behind Smart Studio: “We’re proud and delighted to fill a crucial void in the fitness industry. Smart Studio is the tool I wish I had when running a fitness business. Upon evaluating existing products in the market, I realized that fitness professionals were burdened with managing multiple, disconnected tools for billing, scheduling, and tracking client packages. There was a clear need for a simple, unified platform dedicated to providing all the necessary information and services for the success of fitness professionals. This realization drove us to create Smart Studio.”
To bring their innovative idea to life and kickstart the development process, Aditya and Brince teamed up with us at Azul Arc. Despite being a startup in the fitness technology solutions space, they have already contributed to the management of Atlanta’s largest fitness program for the BeltLine. By doing so, they play a significant role in advancing the Beltline’s vision of a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable Atlanta, ultimately enhancing the health and wellness of the local community. Kellie James, the manager of the Free Fitness program at the BeltLine, attests to the transformative impact of Smart Studio: “[Smart Studio] has been a game changer for the free fitness program – it has been completely like night and day compared to last year – the technology definitely has advanced us into the 21st century. Just having insights on how many people are actually participating, where these individuals [are] coming from – this has been really important for us to really get a clear understanding of how impactful [the Free Fitness Program] program really is and without this software we would not be able to do that.”
