Job brief

We’re a small B2B creative digital design and development firm located at King Plow looking for a Sales Development/Marketing Specialist to help us in our overall sales and marketing efforts. You’ll be an integral part of the development and execution of sales and marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to lead generation. To be successful in this role, you have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You’ll use your communication skills to connect and prequalify potential customers. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. You’ll have experience in creating marketing
campaigns and be social media savvy.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails.
  • Present our company to potential clients.
  • Contribute, ideate and execute ideas for creative marketing/social media campaigns for lead generation.
  • Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
  • Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns.
  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, YouTube etc.)
  • Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Business Development Director.
  • Report to the Business Development Director on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a sales/business development representative, marketing/sales or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls).
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Experience with CRM software.
  • Familiarity with Podio.
  • Familiarity with Google Business.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging marketing campaigns.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field.

Bonus Points for:

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS.
  • Knowledge of marketing software (i.e. Mailchimp).
  • Familiar with CRM software.
  • Familiar with Citrix/Podio, G Suite (Google for Business).
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools.
