Aside from keeping up with technology trends, keeping your coding language is important. Updating PHP will improve the speed and security of your site, important for things such as SEO and user experience. With every update of PHP, there are improved security measures against hackers. This change is relatively easy to implement, but before you do so, make sure you backup your website and update your plugins. This will reduce the potential issues that could occur during the update. Then, as always – test, test test!
