Position Summary:
Key responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites based on client requirements.
- Design and implement new features and functionalities to improve website performance and user experience.
- Create custom themes and plugins as needed.
- Ensure high-performance and availability of all WordPress sites, as well as manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues or bugs.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of all project components.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and tools to improve development processes and site functionalities.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven 6+ years of experience working as a WordPress Developer.
- Preferred WordPress skills: experience with custom post types, taxonomy, short codes, filter and hooks, oops concept, customized/created WordPress plugin, Advanced Custom Fields, Visual composer and CPT.
- Excellent abilities with PHP and MySQL, HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Fluent in object-oriented programming.
- Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
- Experience in developing web applications using RESTful Services.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, Material ui, etc.
- Experience with test driven development as it applies to creating the UI.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process – Active participation in daily Scrum meetings to share current status, offer support to other colleagues and raise concerns if waste is identified.
- Accountability delivery of the assigned tasks on time, ensuring high quality and high performance.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Must be comfortable working with a geographically dispersed team.
- Working knowledge in Agile Methodology.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
